Job Summary:
The Network Quality Assurance Engineer is responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of the organization's network infrastructure and its components. This role involves planning, designing, implementing, and maintaining network testing processes and procedures to ensure optimal network performance, availability, and security. The Network Quality Assurance Engineer will collaborate closely with the Network Engineering team to identify and rectify network-related issues, as well as drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive network testing strategies and methodologies to evaluate the performance, functionality, and security of the organization's network infrastructure.
2. Design, execute, and analyze network tests to identify and isolate potential issues, vulnerabilities, and bottlenecks.
3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Network Engineering, to develop and execute test plans and test cases based on project requirements.
4. Monitor and evaluate network performance metrics, such as latency, bandwidth, and packet loss, to identify areas of improvement and ensure adherence to defined service-level agreements (SLAs).
5. Conduct thorough root cause analysis and troubleshooting to identify and resolve network-related problems and ensure high network availability.
6. Participate in the design and implementation of network monitoring and management tools to proactively monitor network performance and identify potential issues.
7. Collaborate with vendors and third-party providers to ensure the compliance of network equipment and software with established quality standards.
8. Contribute to the creation and maintenance of network documentation, including diagrams, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and technical specifications.
9. Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging technologies related to network quality assurance and recommend process improvements and innovative solutions to enhance network performance and security.
10. Provide technical guidance and support to other team members and stakeholders regarding network quality assurance processes and procedures.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in network engineering or network quality assurance roles.
3. Strong knowledge and understanding of network protocols, topologies, and architectures.
4. Proficiency in network performance testing tools and methodologies.
5. In-depth understanding of network security principles and best practices.
6. Experience with network troubleshooting and root cause analysis techniques.
7. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and strategically.
8. Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
9. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
10. Relevant certifications, such as CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) or equivalent, are highly desirable.
